Meet Mrs. Bordewyk
As a 2006 graduate of Mona Shores and a former student of Churchill Elementary, I am thrilled to introduce myself as your 5th grade teacher!
I graduated from Michigan State University in 2010 (GO GREEN!) and completed my year long student teaching in Grand Rapids Public Schools in May of 2011. In August of 2011, I was hired in Kentwood Public Schools as an Academic Interventionist at Challenger Elementary.
In 2012 I was hired at Churchill as a 5th grade teacher; In total, this will be my 7th year in 5th grade and my 8th year at Churchill (I worked one year in 1st!).
In July of 2017, I married my husband Brett (who is an Engineer and a Michigan fan, boo!), and in March 2019 we welcomed our first son, Nixon!
I cannot wait to create lasting memories with every one of you, before your sail to the middle school!
